When I need to get out the door in the morning there’s no time for a full face of makeup; so here are my go-tos for a quick and easy daytime look.
I was completely influenced by this on Instagram and haven’t looked back. It’s really light and blendable and can be built up if you like a bit more coverage. It’s also really good for holiday skin, if you’re lucky enough to go on one.
When you’re over 30 and you’ve got two kids, a good concealer is an absolute essential. I dot some eye gel under my eyes before blending this in and it keeps it smooth, crease free and, most importantly, covers dark circles all day.
Never ever underestimate what a good brow can do for you. This little tube is small enough to take anywhere and so easy to use. I just give my brows a once over with the wand and it fills them out immediately and wakes up my face.
Show me a better mascara. I got this as a free sample years ago and now refuse to use anything else. Top tip; for an evening look, heat your eyelash curlers with the hairdryer for extra volume and lift.
I find this set really subtle and buildable. So It’s ideal to quickly brush over cheeks when you’re in a rush, but when you want to go from day to night it’s pigmented enough for a filmstar glow. A bit pricey but I’ve had mine for about 18 months and it’s still going strong (don’t come at me about throwing make-up away after a certain time - ain’t nobody got enough money for that).
GAME. CHANGER! My lips blend in a bit too much with my fake tan,but whacking a hot pink lipstick on every morning isn’t practical with two kids demanding Weetabix. This has a subtle peachy pink tint that gives me just enough colour. It can also be used on the cheeks so you’re getting even more bang for your buck.
